Meet the host

Michelle Eagleton is an experienced TV and Radio presenter with over 20 years background in broadcast journalism working for national and local media, including BBC Radio Manchester, Key 103, GMTV, BBC Breakfast, and most recently BBC One’s Morning Live. Her career has seen her interview a number of high-profile celebrities including Sir David Attenborough, Cher and Dame Joan Collins.

Michelle has reported live from numerous red carpets and covered an array of awards ceremonies from the BAFTAS to the British Soap Awards. A regular live event host, Michelle will be found comparing ladies lunches, fashion shows and taking to the stage to present at awards and charity balls.

Meet this month’s guest brand

Joining us for our first episode is none other than Missoma Founder and Creative Director Marisa Hordern!

Collecting gems as a young girl, it wasn’t until a kitchen table chat with her mother and sister that Marisa Hordern felt compelled to quit the corporate world and follow her passion by starting jewellery brand Missoma.

One of the first to harness the power of social media, Hordern also pioneered the first influencer-jewellery collaboration. Hordern continues to nurture a culture of creativity, confidence, and collaboration.

Founded in 2007, Missoma now ships to over 200 countries worldwide. Missoma was ranked fourth and sixth fastest-growing UK SME in the Sunday Times’ Fast Track 100 2018 and 2019 respectively. Hordern won the Entrepreneur Award at the 2019 Barclaycard Everywoman in Retail Awards for her future-facing leadership, with Missoma also ranked no.25 in JP Morgan’s 2022 Top 200 Female Powered Businesses category. Missoma was honoured to be awarded a 2022 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade having grown it’s International sales to 55% of its business.

Meet this month’s guest influencer

Rachel Peru is a silver haired curve model, body confidence advocate and midlife influencer.

She is passionate about showing other women, particularly those in midlife, that they are not invisible. Rachel broke barriers when she appeared in a ground-breaking Swimsuits for All campaign with Ashley Graham, and her career was launched from there. At 54 Rachel is now passionate about being able to represent older women in the fashion industry and can regularly be seen in leading lingerie brand campaigns.
